As if time pressures weren’t enough of a distraction for me and my blogs, something “technical” went wrong while I wasn’t looking. You’ll be pleased to know I wasn’t hacked or anything like that. , so this is my update on blogging for now. Sure, you’ll all know I much prefer to get on and enjoy blogging, waxing lyrical and the like. There’s no way I’m a nerdy techie kind of person who has fun with HTML codes (although I have successfully tinkered before).
As bloggers using WordPress will know, various updates are released from time to time and the more widgets you have, the more often these will come. Normally I activate an update as soon as I get notification but through my absence there were over 12 or 13 waiting. So I activated them all at the same time resulting in some conflict which had a knock-on effect to affect the visual appearance. Big mistake.
So I tried switching theme and back again to see if that would clear the gremlin. Alas no it was still there and I was puzzled. The solution I have chosen, at least in the short term, was to choose a new theme where the gremlin couldn’t make an appearance.
So for now I’m using the snazzy new Twenty Fourteen theme “as is” and I might try to customise it with a few tweaks here and there.
